Episode Notes

Hey, good morning.

Yeah, you there? Oh.

Yes.

Are you feeling OK? Uh, you don't look very well.

Oh.

Yeah, I, I know the feeling, sometimes I like that too.

Uh.

OK Go get some oxygen.

Huh? Yeah.

00000.

Oh, that's better.

What? I love it.

Happy Halloween.

Happy Halloween.

I love Halloween.

This guy.

That's your favorite.

Where did you get that? I think I got this many, many years ago at Village Vanguard.

OK, OK.

You know, I can.

It's surprisingly good.

Yeah, it's, you know, it's rubber, so it's, it looks good, but it's really hot.

Yeah.

You sweat a lot in it, and it's, uh, but it has a great effect, and yeah, it looks really good.

It does look great.

I was amazed.

Yeah.

Yeah.

I have uh I have other ones that are not the same, much cheaper and simpler.

Yeah, um, they're from the dollar store.

Yeah, yeah, yeah.

And they're just like a printed.

Mesh.

I get it.

Yeah.

These ones are are nice cause they They breathe.

I, I think you can see through it, right? Oh yeah, yeah, very, very easily, and they go on easy, they come off easy.

Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.

Just a matter of getting the the eyes and nose lined up.

OK.

Yeah, yeah, yeah.

You can't find.

OK.

They're fun.

Good, good.

I got, I got it, I've got a tiger one, same kind of thing.

The tiger? Yes, yes, yes, that's great.

Oh.

And uh green, this might also be like kind of Frank, yeah, I guess it's kind of Frankenstein's monster.

Type guy.

OK, yeah, yeah.

That's Frankenstein's monster.

Yeah.

The best one by far, cause it's the cutest and and the kids love it.

Is this cute, cute one here? Uh, chicken.

Yeah, this is my favorite.

I love it.

That's good.

Yeah.

Simple Cute.

Simple, cute effective, not too scary.

Not scary at all, unless you're scared of chickens.

OK.

Yes, yes.

I think that's what we gotta swing back to at Halloween, we gotta get away from scary to more fun.

Fun is good.

You know, in, in, uh, In Canada, most people are quite creative, I think, and they come up with really creative and fun costumes.

OK.

Um, and I like that.

It doesn't always, as you said, it doesn't have to be scary.

A lot of, um, like TV show characters, comic book characters.

That are rather than rather than being scary or obvious, you know, the obvious ghost witch, ghost witch, zombie, vampire, um, something that you gotta think about it a little bit, figure out what it is, but if you know the show, if you know the character, then it, it comes quickly.

Yes, yes.

One of the questions I saw my my friend in Canada, he did Aladdin.

Oh yeah, yeah, and it was very well done.

With magic carpet.

I don't know.

I didn't see it.

I only saw his costume.

Hm.

Um, Yeah, the, this year, my, my favorite one this year was, uh, Um, do you know the character Zorro from One Piece? Uh, I know our character Zorro, but I don't know one piece very well, no.

Yeah, not, not the famous Spanish, uh, uh, swordsman Zorro but a character in one Piece.

So, the costume, everyone who sees it immediately thinks pirate, which is what he is.

He's a pirate.

They're all pirates in one piece.

Yeah.

But the unique, just having that one distinct factor, yeah, makes it stand out, so.

The character, the the the person standing there in costume, people go, oh, you're definitely, you're a pirate for sure, but the distinct characteristic is that he has 3 samurai swords.

Not 2, but 3.

Yeah, green hair, earring, piry clothes, and then 3 katanas.

And then if you still don't get it, he pulls them out and he puts one in his teeth.

Oh, OK.

And then what you can, and then as soon as he does that, everyone knows, oh, you're Zorro.

So it's quite, just that one little distinct thing that gives it away.

I like that.

Right, right, right, right, right.

The best costumes incorporate that.

Just a little something that gives it that.

I don't want a key element that gives it away, so I like that.

One step outside.

Yeah, yeah.

Yeah, I, I, on a similar note, you know, Giggen Dake, that's Luan Sansa's best friend and partner in the Japanese series.

Is he the swordsman? Could be.

I don't know.

Anyway, his distinct features his hat.

OK.

And his wispy goatee.

Uh, not as I am a naturally goateed person, a few years back, I, I did that costume and I was just wearing a suit, just a regular suit.

Right.

With the hat and the goatee, it was clear who I was instantly.

Oh.

Yes, I, I like.

Anyway, Yeah, anyway.

I need a drink of tea.

Yes.

All right, I'm off to get some trick or treaters.

I'll see you later.

OK, I'll take care and have a good happy Halloween, safe.

Mack Bye Bye.
