Good morning. How's it going?
I'm doing very well, thanks.
Just fine, thank you. Hey, uh, less.
Could you tell me what you ate for breakfast today?
You bet. That's easy. Today I had English muffins and a coffee.
Nice. What did you put on your English muffins.
You're going to hate this and I'm going to love it. I put peanut butter on one and chocolate spread on the other. I like sweet breakfasts.
I love the peanut butter. I don't love the chocolate spread.
Okay,
talk to me about Well, I don't know. I don't like chocolate spread, but I do like sweet. So, I would do peanut butter on one side, honey on the other. Okay, now let me just go back for a second. When I was a boy growing up, there was chocolate spread in the supermarket and I always wanted it and my mother never bought it. She always said no, no, no. Last two weeks ago, I was shopping for myself with my younger son and I was thinking I'll get marmalade and there is the chocolate spread and something jumped into my head and it said, "Time to get the chocolate spread now. I'll be honest, I don't actually like chocolate spread for breakfast,
but I got it. So, I'm eating it and I'm enjoying it, but I won't buy another one.
Second question, what do you put in your coffee?
I drink my coffee black.
So, you got the super sweet English muffins and the super coffee.
Yeah,
that's right. I love it.
No fruit. balance. I got a fruit upstairs, but today I was pressed for time. I'm going to eat it after this.
Good.
Yeah. Actually, I usually have yogurt and mui as well. And that's going to come after this, too.
Today's a busy day. I had to go to work. I've already been to work and back. I do a little bit of work at a local um kindergarten
and so I've I had to run off there.
Busy, busy, busy. Let me throw the question back at you. What did you have for breakfast
today? I had uh a big thick slice of bread. Uh the the type of Japanese bread that we don't cut, but we just rip the pieces off. Nice soft, moist, thick bread. Um and I had scrambled egg. Strawberries and tea.
Okay. Let me ask you quickly about the scrambled eggs. I remember talking with you about breakfast once and you mentioned that you think we don't need to have sweet breakfasts.
And when I was growing up, I had scrambled eggs and my mom always put ketchup on them.
And ketchup is famous for being rather sweet.
What do you have on scrambled eggs?
Uh, case by case. Uh, sometimes ketchup,
sometimes Tabasco.
Oh, that's nice.
Sometimes just salt and pepper.
Yeah, that's good. I agree.
But if I have Mexican food available, I'll put salsa on it or uh uh spicy chipotle mayonnaise. Okay. I've never had that. That sounds yummy. But I want to ask you about the Tabasco sauce.
Do you always when I buy it, it's always in a glass bottle.
And the glass bottles, they're difficult for me to throw away.
Yeah.
So, I never buy Tabasco sauce anymore. And I feel bad about
Why is it difficult to throw away?
Well, I have my breakfast here at my Smith school and then I have these glass bottles at the Smith school
and I don't belong to the local neighborhood organization for throwing away bottles
and there what
take it home wash home
okay
dry it take the label off recycle it you don't throw it away you recycle it.
You see, I stopped buying it because I didn't want to throw it away.
Recycle it.
Don't buy it. No problem.
Enjoy it. Recycle it.
I want to I want to change. Actually, I want to learn how to make my own
salsa.
I can tell you how to do that next time.
That sounds like a good plan for next time.
Yes, next week. Salsa recipe.
All right. See you. Bye.
