Do You Get Enough Practice for Toeic Listening for Vocabulary?

When you study for toeic listening should be one of your top priorities. Of course, you need to review the words and their meanings. Then you can work on passive study by listening to these stories again and again.

After you listen many times to each story you will remember the words better. Then you can take the toeic listening test with confidence.

You may find it helpful to write out the story after you have listened to it many times. Try to hear the story in your head as you write it. You may type it on a computer because this is also very good practice.

Ming runs a small cruise ship for wealthy young people. He loves his work and looks forward to giving his customers the best vacation he can give. He has an excellent reputation which he is proud of. His reputation is also difficult, since he cannot have staff that will bring his reputation down. He requires them to have at least four references, and proof that they are good leaders. He also requires that they have first aid training. He checks the dates on their first aid certificates. If a certificate expires, he has to pay for them to get re-certified. Ming finds his work difficult, but managing people and customers is fun and challenging, and he always does it in a safe way. That's why he has such an excellent reputation.

Lee works for an insurance agency. His area of expertise is shipping insurance. They cover ships for accidents at sea due to many causes, from bad weather to inadequate manning on the vessel. Lee always researches the companies he covers and he has two assitants to help him. It is characteristic for him to ask them to do something, and then do it himself. It implies that he does not trust them, and they sense it. This creates an unfortunate office climate, which is too bad because Lee does trust them, but he enjoys his work so much that he does it himself. He has a lot to learn about managing people.

Tony loves to have a good time, and he loves to drink. One consequence of his drinking, however, is that he often gets into fights. a few years back he got into a fight and his opponent knocked his teeth out. He was going to hurt Tony even more but Tony asked for mercy, and promised not to drink anymore. He still goes out and has a good time, but the amount he drinks varies from night to night. His friend always remind him, but they never stop him from drinking. Tony is lucky that he has lost only his teeth.

Mike Saunders is a biologist studying bird mating habits in the far north. While he works in the field, he frequently sees poachers trying to steal young birds from the nests. They can see them in exotic pet shops and get lots of money for this illegal trade. Mike gets very frustrated about this. He wants to protect them, but the poachers are very dangerous. If they just see Mike, he could be in danger. It is getting more difficult to do his research, and Mike is considering changing his research because of this. It is something he does not look forward to.
