How A Spoken English Lesson Helps You Understand More

Samantha found spoken English lessons on the internet.  She decided to try them because they were free.  Also, she had not tried this kind of study before.  (cont'd...)

bite the bullet

Here is the slow version

Mark Jeffries may look calm but he is actually shaking in his boots.  He is an assassin, and his enemy is looking for him.  He was listening to a phone conversation by his enemy and discovered that they are trying to kill him, and that scared him out of his wits.  He decided that he must try to kill them first, but he is not sure whether he has the bottle to do it. But they are looking for him, so he bit the bullet and went to look for his enemy.  Right now he is putting a brave face on it, as he stands watch in front of the luxury hotel where his enemy is staying.

Samantha had studied English for close to seven years and she still finds it very difficult to understand English when she listens to it.  Speaking is even more difficult.  Now in a short three months, she is a confident speaker, and she finds listening to English fun.

At first she had to really listen hard to the stories, many times, and read the script too.  Then after almost a month, things began to change.   She could understand more words.  A few weeks later she understood most of a story without reading!

Her listening practice was working.  She listened everyday.  Some days she listened in the morning before work and then again after work.

After a few weeks, she started to read the stories out loud while she listened.  She did this for only two weeks, and then she began to remember English words better!

Keep practicing listening to spoken English lessons and watch the change in your English ability.
