Here is my edited version:

Mary was in a trading exhibition representing the Acon company. Actually she was very talented and she managed to convince one client to make a deal with her company.

As a result of this agreement, she invited her client to a restaurant. While they were partaking of the feast together, Mary requested her client to consider a commission for her in the upcoming agreement.

The client was upset. She tuned in on the situation very quickly. She realized that she had messed up, however, the client was very quiet and rooted for her company. He was very sad that such a tricky girl worked in this company. So he decided to inform her manager to teach a lesson to Mary.

Marry owned up to the mistake in front of the staffs of the company. Mary was laid off.
Since then, Marry has had nothing to do with the company .

Thank you for your kind observations. I have checked the story A Feast of Woe, and there was a mispelling, and I will amended it. (sorry!)
As for partake, I re-checked this phrasal verb in another sourcebook (Cambridge phrasal verbs) and discovered you can "partake of" something is the correct form; I have made the change in the original story. I am sorry to have caused this confusion.

Thank you very much for your kind and generous contributions.

Dear sir,
thank you for spending time to correct my story.
I have two comments:
1. In the A feast of Woe story the past of lay off is layed off while your correction in my story for the same phrasal verb is laid off.
2. In the A feast of Woe story you used the the phrasal verb( partaking in a feast)but the correction in my story is ( partaking of the feast).

Please advise
