You Can Have the Best English Vocabulary by Practicing Listening to these Idioms Stories

A great way to get the best English vocabulary is to listen to as much English as you can.  With the stories on this site, you can practice listening to vocabulary that you can predict, so it is easier to hear and get used to.

Before you listen, you should get yourself ready.  You want to be relaxed, but alert.  You want to be motivated, and happy about studying.  How can you do this?

First, clear your mind.  Concentrate on your breathing for five breaths.  Breathe deep and slow.

Second, tell yourself you are going to practice listening to English.  You may say this quietly, but it is better to say it out loud.

Third, imagine listening to English, and it is easy and natural to understand.  

Do this everytime you come to English Listening World to practice listening and soon you will understand many new idioms and have the best English vocabulary!  You will be in Seventh Heaven!

Mary-Ann is in seventh heaven today.  Her boyfriend just popped the question to her.  He promised he would spare no expense in giving her the best wedding ever, and his father is rich.  He thinks the world of her, and wants to get married quickly but until he announces it, he wants her to keep it under wraps.  This makes it even more exciting for her today since she knows something that her friends don't know: she's going to get married!
