Backpacking

(Brazil)
For months they had planned a backpacking trip in South América. Finally, the day had arrived. They leaved at the crack of dawn from Lima , capital of Peru, and went on until Cuzco, capital of Inca Empire. Petter had a backpack bigger than his friends. They tried to convince him to change it before starting going up the mountains, but he said he would wear it out until it started bothering him. Then he would throw it away and would use a small one, that he had taken with him. They were three kilometers far from Machu Picchu , when Petter tripped up on a stone and rolled down on a cliff. His friends ran to help him , but his rescue was very difficult. The only way to get it, would be to get rid of his heavy backpack. It was what they did. When they arrived at the top of the hill they realized that Petter could not stand up alone. They had to take turns to help him to walk, until they arrived at Machu Picchu, the sacred city , where some tourists could help them to go down the mountains. Here is my edited version:
